The coloured anodised vases Nuage Métallique by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec for Vitra create a charming play of light and shadow. Thanks to the precision of their contour, they allow to be combined to whole “cloudscapes. The special feature of the vases: Thanks to the eight holes, single flowers and grasses can be stylishly arranged in a vase.

Flower Vase in the Form of Clouds

The form of the Nuage vases occured in the works by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for the first time in 2002: as large cloud-like plastic panels that allow to be put together organically to form large compositions. Its surface is defined by eight tube-shaped cuts which together form the outer contour.

For the vase Nuage, the designers draw the cloud form out of massive aluminium profiles in different lengths. Now the basic form is used while standing, the vase is thus divided into eight individual tubes, which can house different arrangements of flowers and grasses. The coloured anodised, undulating surfaces create a charming play of light and shadow.

The Nuage Métallique vases by Vitra are available in three different sizes, which can be combined as desired.
