Holmegaard – Provence Bowl large, transparent, 31 cm

Provence is a timeless glass bowl by the designed Per Lutken that inserts a fine breeze into the kitchen or the lounge area. With its simple retro-look, Provence is perfectly suitable to serve salads, snacks or fruits.

The Provence series from the Danish glass design company Holmegaard already exists since 1956. It is still a practical, as well as aesthetical glass bowls collection.

Another specialty of the Provence series also is its manufacturing procedure. While conventional glass products are especially mouth blown, the Provence bowls are simply turned on a humid wooden board. Through the evaporating water, the glowing glass is filled with air whereby the bowl does practically form itself on its own. This doesnt only ensure the uniqueness of every single bowl; it also gives a shapely catchy opening to it because of the turning on top of the wooden board.
