Wooden figures optimist and pessimist
Is the glass half full or half empty ArchitectMade along this fundamental question and attitude towards life. The decorative wooden figures Optimist and Pessimist complement and complete each other like Ying and Yang.
The idea of memorializing optimists and pessimists with his two figures came to Hans Blling while observing his colleagues, whose contrasting characters seemed to him like day and night. Optimist and Pessimist for ArchitectMade are a simplified representation of positive and negative attitudes to life, of joy and sadness.
Flexible arms and sympathetic expression
The optimist has a raised head and smiles, while the pessimist keeps his head lowered and has deep-set eyes. Last but not least, the two wooden figures differ in the symbolic colour of their hair. The arms of the figures are movable and can enhance the desired mood: With the arms stretched upwards, the figure seems additionally euphoric and content, but if the arms are down, the figure appears depressed.
With the two wooden figures Optimist and Pessimist different moods can be expressed in a sympathetic way. The loving figures are made of teak wood by ArchitectMade. Each figure is made by hand.
