Alessi – Fruit Basket “Blow up”

The Alessi Blow Up fruits basket, reminiscent of a game of jackstraws, is based on the idea of welding hypothetical steel wire remainders in order to create different container shapes.

All of the objects of the Alessi Blow Up collection share the unmistakable handwriting of the Brazilian Campana brothers. The seemingly random arrangement of the individual metal sticks sometimes result in a bowl, other times in a plate or a fruit bowl. The lively geometric interplay of shadows is also interesting, since it looks different depending on the rooms light.

The “Blow Upbowl by Humberto and Fernando Campana is made of mirror polished 18/10 stainless steel.
