Alessi – Dear Charlie Banana Holder

Dear Charlie by Alessi is a banana holder whose irregular and stylised shape reminds us of a stem with a small branch. Bananas can be hung up on it in order to store them in a suitable way.

The banana holder by Alessi is a small table sculpture that also serves as a holder for different fruits or vegetables such as grapes, chillies or a garlic with its stable and massive base. But Dear Charlie can also be used in a completely different context, for example as a tool for hanging objects such as rings, bracelets and earrings.

Bananas stored in a hanging position do not age as quickly, since the banana holder makes the bananas believe they are still hanging on a tree. Alessis banana holder was designed by John Truex and it consists of chromed Zamac.
